What a beautiful place! Enjoyed a lovely walk with my young family. Our 3.5 year old loved the Googly Eyed tree trail, running around the walled garden, meeting the peacock and sheep sculptures and feeding the huge greedy fish! Great for a medium length walk and explore with little ones. The cafe was having some sort of work done so there wasn't as much on offer for food but luckily we'd brought our own. Sure that's just a temporary thing though.
Hadn't visited before but really enjoyed the trails and surroundings. A large walled garden and plenty of space to explore. We met the resident peacocks and the kids found all the trees with googly eyes. We fed the fish in the lake and enjoyed all the flowers. Hidden gem, worth a visit! Took our own food so didn't try the cafe hence 4 stars. Will update when we go back.
Great place! Another visit and again something new. We love feeding the fish in the pond, always fascinated with how big they are. We saw ducklings - so, so cute. Lovely place to take a deep breath and slow down.
Has a spare couple of hours so visited, really impressed, lovely site with so many different varieties of trees and plants. Well worth a visit.
A beautiful place to visit. There are toilets on site, as well as a cafe and new gift shop. You can also buy a variety of plants. They also have a secure paddock for dog exercising. This can be hired, and is for sole use. Cost is PS10 for one hour. Regular visitors will save money by becoming a member. There are hard surfaced paths, so the Estate is wheelchair friendly. Markshall now have sculptures for sale. All very nice, but expensive.
Very small field for the high rates. Wet, muddy and slippy for the dogs. Very disappointing, would not recommend or visit again. When I contacted the company, they advised it was checked regularly, I would say it was not fit for purpose .
