Beautiful and lonely and desolate. It's sad to see what was a splendid house fade away day by day. The Mavisbank Trust have been working for two decades now to try and save this unique piece of Scottish history. I hope they succeed.
Was out at springfield mill with stamford when i got lost and found mavisank house was bit creepy but great area and lovely walk along river. Will be back up in the daytime as it was starting to get dark.
Went to look at the building but for safety reasons it is surrounded by a steel fence so didn't see much, bit of a waste of time.
A very sad ruin with glimpses of its past grandeur - worth a good walk to visit before this goes alas once and for all!!
It is a pity that closed and neglected ruins. Beautiful surroundings in every place a great view.
Great to hear PS5 million now secured to restore to former glory.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
