Meig Dam is a significant hydroelectric dam located in the Highlands of Scotland, United Kingdom. The dam is situated on the River Carron, approximately 10 miles west of the town of Tain. If you ever find yourself out here this is an amazing area, a special area. I was surprised to be able to walk out across the hydro dam and enjoy the views of Loch Meig. Usually for safety reasons these places are closed and rightly so. Having said that what a tremendous view I enjoyed I was well chuffed to get the opportunity to come.
