A picturesque waterfall located in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales, Melincourt Falls drops 80 feet down a rocky slope, creating a misty veil that surrounds the area. The falls are surrounded by lush greenery and moss-covered rocks, with a small stream flowing from the base of the falls. The waterfall is at its peak during heavy rainfall, creating a thundering sound that echoes through the valley. On sunny days, the mist created by the falls produces a beautiful rainbow, adding to the natural beauty of the area. The falls are accessible via a short walk from the nearby car park, making it a popular spot for hikers and nature lovers.
Amazing waterfall. Full length can be experienced from very close. Can be reachable to the bottom of the falls from the top. The trek to the bottom of falls is not very difficult. The path was muddy at some places and it was very narrow at some places. It is not a very steep path, just some stairs and mostly flat trek. Some young people were able to go behind the fall and touch the waters.
Great walk take the long way round from the main carpark to get the best views, take the route up and over the falls to appreciate the whole area, at the top follow the route to the rapids then back down to the left and follow main route to the foot pf the falls. Make the most of the area and take the routes further at the end of the carpark to follow the river downstream well worth it
A short 10-15 min walk from the car park . Cross the road & walk past the drop in centre on the left and upwards on the path To see beautiful fast flowing waterfall . Wear good shoes it can be a little muddy and slippery on the rocks if it's been raining . Enjoy
Easy to walk from the car park, beautiful walk leading to the waterfall. Dog friendly, our old German shepherd even managed to get into the waters (with some difficulty).
A nice spot for a short walk to the waterfall. Took us approximately 10 minutes from the start of the trail to the waterfall itself. A nice peaceful spot with good views. The path was a bit muddy and not really accessible for anyone with a pram or wheelchair. There was also a felled tree on the trail when we visited so that needed to be navigated around.
Lovely walk. My dog loved it. Went early afternoon on a Friday and didn't see anyone until we made our way back. Nowhere really to pass as path is very muddy and narrow.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
