The Memorial Gates are a pair of ornate gates located at the entrance to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in Richmond upon Thames, London. They were designed by architect Decimus Burton and built in 1842 as a memorial to the Duke of Cambridge, seventh son of King George III. The gates are made of wrought iron and feature intricate scrollwork, foliage, and floral patterns. They are adorned with the Duke's coat of arms and the royal crest. The gates are set between two imposing stone piers, topped with ornate lamps. They are a striking example of Victorian-era architecture and a popular spot for photographs.

Really beautiful gates at the park. A lot of history behind them as well relating to the world wars. There used to be a massive tank here in 1919. Would be amazing if that was still around but it's long gone now. Historical place to visit and a beautiful park to walk around as well. Dog friendly too which rocks.
Nice to have a monument as part of the park. Thee is also a rugby ball. Would be great to expand this to commemorate Rugby as a whole.
Recreation Ground behind gates is home to Rugby Rotary Spring Fair. Good event for local charities and community groups.
Not in it's original place, but great to look at. Especially the Poppies R.I.P. I do miss the tank ramp. Should never of got rid of that.
Beautiful park to visit! Close to swimming pool.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
Dogs allowed
