Mendip Basecamp: Our award-winning family campsite open every summer. Pitch where you like, park by your tent and enjoy a campfire. Camping as it should be. Group Bookings: Over 25 real activities to try, youth and adult groups choose us to deliver fun and active team-building and bonding days.
We have camped at Basecamp twice now and both times had a really good time. We took our two children (5 months and 5 years old). There are lots of free activities during the summer holidays, along with the large sandpit and small play area. There are also paid activities which are brilliant for a range of ages. You can buy everything you need on site which makes it easy for camping. We will definitely be back again!
Can't recommend enough. The booking system is great, the check in team are brilliant and every instructor the children have had have been outstanding. They have done archery, rock climbing, canoeing, assault course, caving and abseiling and over every minute.
Fabulous family campsite with top notch facilities and lovely free little touches such as live bands and circus skills. A well equipped shop and campfires to hire with s'more kits. We enjoyed the well organised activities of climbing, archery, rifle shooting, caving and my favourite, active archery which is like paintball but more fun and without the bruises!
My son and i enjoyed frisbee golf (and the yeti hunt) and tobogganing. Depending on the age of your children be prepared for frisbee golf to take a long time and also for potential loss of frisbees which you pay deposits for. We thoroughly enjoyed it, make sure to wear appropriate footwear for both wet and uneven terrain. Tabaggoning was lots of fun, we found the 12 o'clock slot no one else booked so we had all to ourselves. All staff very friendly and helpful and good cafe to watch the skiers/snowboarders if there are any on the slopes.
Took our 9yr old Grandson to do various activities over 2 days. He did Tobogganing, Rifle Shooting & we all did Frisby Golf. We ate in the cafe. The food was freshly cooked, good sized portions & delicious. Staff were very friendly & helpful. If booking more than one activity on the same day I would suggest booking either side of a 'meal' break as there is very little to do in between other than eat !!
Won a voucher for the Frisbee golf and thought it was a great activity. The kids had a great time. Would definitely recommend. Lots of other activities and seemed really reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.
