History museum & arts center with a 400-seat theater in a glass fronted, contemporary building.
Quite a small museum area, but interesting exhibits.
Could do with putting more lights on as very dark and not welcoming
Have been to a few plays in theatre now and is very comfortable. There is not a bad seat in the theatre but would suggest that the council to allocate seating. They need some good table and chairs in the small bar area. The braid arts centre is very clean
Dear Braid Centre Time to introduce allocated seating!!!!! The queue waiting for access to Joseph at the minute is preposterous and dangerous with folk standing 4 and 5 deep on stairs. Extremely unprofessional. I bought my tickets early on line so I should have my pick of where I sit but folk walking in off the street have priority if they're in the queue ahead of me. Will think twice about coming here again. Now apparently there's a problem and they have announced we cannot get into theatre. But sure leave your place in the queue and come downstairs to more comfortable seating. Aye right. Going to be trouble when they finally get their act together and queue starts moving as their are going to be jumpers and arguments galore.
I think I had in my mind to high expectations from it. I've been on the third floor of the museum, where you can see a little bit of the history of this city, but I couldn't find someone to talk about it, only some screen with images and somewhere I could hear a very loud voice from the speakers and that's it. on the second floor you can find an entire room with paintings, but again no one from museum to talk about it
Was there 2 weeks ago for a prize ceremony. Staff are wonderful and very helpful and polite, made us feel so welcome. Keep up with the good work
