Middle Lake is a serene and picturesque lake located in the heart of the Rutland Water Nature Reserve in England, UK. The lake is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks around the lake, take in the scenic views, and spot a variety of wildlife, including birds, fish, and insects. The lake is also a popular spot for fishing, with a range of fish species available, including carp, pike, and tench.
Next to the lakes car park and the most popular route into the 'park area'. Home to Mallard ducks. A nice meandering path that leads all the way around it, Including a wide paved path that cuts between the two lakes and takes you to the best spot, on the opposite side to the carpark, up on a mound under trees - is a good bench looking down and across. Toilet block is a couple of minutes stroll on the other side of garden lake.
Danbury country park great environment for for the little ones to run around, open fields for picnics and if your not in a rush walk round the lakes. I was a little taken aback by spotting what looked like a terrapin sitting on a rock you could be forgiven for thinking you was in Florida. Not easy paying for the car park. (PS3.80) for two hours
Nice little lake
