Horse and Carriage experiences, local weddings in Rose Ash, Bishops Nympton and Knowstone only (we have no motor transportation to ferry horses or carriages to far away places, if the horses cannot travel by hoof to the church, we cannot do it I'm afraid folks!), contracted field work and special occasions. (Pre-booking is essential as we need at least 8 hours notice before a ride can take place.) We operate carriage rides between April and the end of October only.
The best experience we have ever had Stuart is amazing and one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Nothing was too much trouble and he is so informative. Could not have wished for anything more. Just made my son Aedans birthday memorable and our day magical. His horses are truly magnificent and a credit to him. Would gladly book again and again and again. Thank you so so much for everything today and it was so lovely to meet you and Albert and George
An excellent experience. Stuart was very knowledgeable and very welcoming. Well worth the money.
What an absolute breath of fresh air! Wonderful horses- George & Albert, and Stuart is such an amazing mine of information- an absolute pleasure & honour, to have spent our time on the carriage.. Learnt so much, seen such wonderful countryside- hopefully will make a return visit next year!!
Middle Week Horse Drawn Farm in Ash Hill is definitely worth a visit. We couldn't recommend the experience with Stuart highly enough. Even if you don't love horses, you'll thoroughly enjoy your time here.
Had a really lovely carriage ride. Suitable for all ages and would recommend for anyone wanting to see Exmoor in an interesting way.
If you are considering an experience with Middle Week you will not be disappointed. I was gifted the chance to learn about Stuart's wonderful farming lifestyle for Christmas, and I can safely say it was one of the best gifts I've ever received. My mum and I were expertly talked through all of the hard work, knowledge and traditional expertise it takes to run a horse-powered farm by Stuart and were in awe every second. This was only increased when Stuart told us this was the first event of its kind he has run! He delivers expert knowledge in an engaging and deeply meaningful manner. The horses themselves are absolutely beautiful, and it was a joy to see how well-loved they are by Stuart. They are gentle giants, each and every one! I cannot recommend the experience more - even in the rain and dark of December I wanted to stay and learn far more about Stuart's traditional practice. Thank you for a brilliant and memorable experience!
