This 19th-century Victorian country house is nestled in the rolling hills of the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire. The estate features beautifully landscaped gardens, a tranquil lake, and a variety of walking trails. The house itself boasts an impressive collection of art and antiques, including works by renowned artists such as Gainsborough and Reynolds. Visitors can explore the opulent state rooms, including the grand ballroom and the intricately decorated saloon. The property also offers a charming tea room serving delicious refreshments and a gift shop selling unique souvenirs.
The Middlewick House open weekend is great. As its got bigger it's lost some of its informal feel but still a chilled atmosphere to look round the gardens and at the very fancy cars. Also lots of sports and super cars in the car park to look at too! The traffic has been very busy so get there early, or park in town and walk in, less than a mile. It is a lovely event that raises lots of money for charity
This 2 days weekend event, in aid of The Wiltshire Air Ambulance, is a worthwhile cause. There was ample of parking spaces, albeit in fields. Once you have paid the entrance cost (online made it slightly cheaper), you can peruse around the rows of different genre cars (vintage/ sporty/supercars), the gardens, stables, stalls etc. There were onsite toilets, food and drink stalls, with a picnic area. Oh, and a book signing by Pink Floyd legend, Nick Mason (owner of the house, where this event was held). It was impossible to take photos of each vehicle, as there were so many. But I did manage to take a photo of my all-time favourite car, a Triumph Stag! This event suits any age group.
Nick Mason's annual charity garden party and a chance to see his incredible vintage, classic and supercar collection plus local craft vendors. Well worth attending.
Visited during the charity fete weekend in June, pretty sure the house and grounds are not normally open to the public. Only visited because I heard about the weekend as a Pink Floyd and automotive fan. It's a very beautiful setting and of course there were many wonderful cars to gawk at and take photos. The queues for food and drink were quite long so hopefully in future there would be more vendors available to reduce the lines. The market traders seemed busy as well. Was very interesting to walk around and see how an older rock star lives!
We attended the charity car show and there were many special and rare cars to view.
Fantastic day out at Nick Masons open garden event in aid of charity, his cars are something else, what a collection plus a field of cars brought by their owners to show of. Brilliant.
