We attended the Millets Maize Maze Torchlight night, and we had a great time. As soon as we arrived, the staff member on the ticket desk was full of cheer and so friendly. There were plenty of activities to take part in. One of our favourites was the go karts!! The mazes were great fun, especially in the dark. There was food and drink on offer too. Very relaxed and fun evening
A wonderful farm centre. Farm shop Butchers, pasties, pies etc, cakes including a few vegan options, fresh bread Wonderful fresh fruit and veg Pick your Own Garden Centre Stalls Restaurant/cafe Loads of parking An animal walk to see emu, donkeys, goats, swans, ducks, horse and more. Free. Hand washing facilities. Small rides and hook a duck, although that is PS4 a go! Definitely worth a visit You can also pay to enter other attractions
A great experience! We visited during the Easter holidays. We paid to go in the zoo and saw some unusual falconry birds and a watched a really great display. There is also a hot house with a great butterfly selection. It would have been nice to have a bench in here as I have a disability. This took about an hour and a half and was approximately PS8? each. We visited the cafe and had cakes and coffee. The Americano was too strong but cakes were great. There is a great gift shop in the garden centre with lovely items. Toilets are really nice and there were three in different areas. Staff are warm and friendly!
What a little gem.....loads for the kids, loads for the adults and I highly recommend the bird of prey shows - they were amazing!!! It doesnt cost anything to enter - there is plenty to do without spending money but if you can afford to, the paying attractions were worth it.....oldy worldy fair rides (carousel, ferris wheel etc) PS3 a ride. Garden centre, farm shop, a soft play barn which although we didn't use looked absolutely humongous (pay separately to use and apparently booking in advance was a must) they have a maize maze which we didnt use and was 8.99 entry and a pick your own area......lots of free things to do - plenty of farm animals, a play park, a lovely picnic area with a nice walk. I didn't see what the place with the birds pf prey was called but it was brilliant for the price (10.95 adults, 8.95 for kids (babies free)), you could use the place all day popping in and out, shows were at 11, 1, 3 and otter feeding at 4 and all the shows had different birds including a kookaburra and storks which I thought was very unique. Other animals they had were skunks, raccoons, marmosets, wallabys you can walk amongst, lemurs, owls, falcons, storks and even a tank of teeny weeny harvest mice at the entrance which was cool!!....the butterfly house was also amazing (although not so much on the hottest day of the year )......just a lovely place I would go there again today if I didn't have to work!!!!
Farmer Carter's Courtyard is most definitely not worth the money, the rest of Millets Farm Centre is lovely A visit of contrasts - the Farmer Carter Courtyard is basically just a bunch of old tractor tires filled in and stacked up, and some hay bales stacked up in a slightly sad looking muddy forest and fields to make a 'children's play area', with some sad looking stables used as extra play zones. Could knock that together in my back garden so not sure why paying PS20+ is worth it. Then on the good side, the staff at the Courtyard are brilliant and very kind to the children. And Millets Farm Centre itself has a decent cafe & restaurant with again lovely people working there, and a great playground that the kids loved as well as the animal walkway. Go to the main site, don't bother spending your PS20+ on the Courtyard bit
The farm offers many activities especially for young children. Ours have grown up so we just visited the garden centre, we did look at some of the stalls as well as the farm shop. The garden centre has a large selection of Webber BBQs, garden buildings, plants and pet supplies. Plants include a very large selection of roses, exotic plants like tree ferns (of various sizes including very tall ones. They also have a large selection of water features and statues. We spent quite a while wondering round. There is so much. The good thing is that the prices are reasonable too with lots on offers. We had a great time, bought lots and will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended.
