Based in the beautifully restored railway station, our Heritage and Arts Centre is a hidden gem of exciting historical artefacts and stories from the past, alongside poetry and a miniature display of the Furness Railway. You will travel back to the Bronze Age, discover how mining and shipping impacted on lives and landscape, and uncover the hidden role of RAF Millom during WW2. And there's more - much, much more! Great little museum right next to the train station in Millom. Lots to see and read about the history of the town. Nice little gift shop, and it's free, donations welcome. Didn't realise just how much history there was. Great for children, too. Dog friendly. Great way to spend an hour or so if you can't think of what to do.
