What an incredible place, there are plenty of boards for each enclosure with just enough information on each one of the occupants showing how well the staff know them. The talks were really interesting and keepers answered any questions. Cafe was full of tasty cakes and friendly staff, this is a place where you know it's not just a job for people they really do care about what they do. You can return within seven days for free which is a bonus.
A great day out. Super facilities with great coffee (always a must) and all the exhibits are well worth a look. So many fascinating creatures with amazing stories, well told by the team at the park. The place is most definitely a hit with all the family.
Great visit with the family. We spent 4-5 hours looking at all the animals. The keeper talks were very interesting. The site is reasonably compact and was impeccably clean. Prices were reasonable for this type of attraction and they offer a seven day unlimited free return. Parking is free.
Monkey Haven Primate Rescue Centre is a sanctuary for animals in need of care. You can visit this awesome place and help them continue with their amazing work. During daily talks they explain how the animals came to be at the Haven as sadly many of the animals were rescued from tragic situations, found tied up in airports, or badly neglected by their previous owners. The Monkey Haven rescue and rehabilitate owls that have injuries and wouldn't survive in the wild. They also have some reptiles and a gang of meerkats. All of the keepers are very knowledgeable and their enthusiasm comes over extremely well and also the love for the animals that they care for. There is a children's play area and they have a cafe that provides food and drinks at a reasonable price. It's a great way to spend a few hours while visiting the Isle of Wight.
A little treat for your little ones. The monkeys are so adorable and there are different kinds, but that's not all they have reptiles, owls, birds and I'm sure I spotted some turtles in there. There is a play area for your little ones and a coffee shop filled with sandwiches, drinks and cakes for the adults. Plenty of parking and toilets are available as well. A must see if you're near the Newport area. And what an amazing cause to support the local community and save the animals from toxic situations.
Monkey Madness in Newport! Hey there, I just had to share my incredible experience at Monkey Haven. It was absolutely amazing. I've never seen so many monkeys in one place before! I was particularly impressed by all the species and how they talked. The monkeys were so playful and active. I couldn't believe my eyes when they were doing the ropes. Monkey Haven was so well-maintained and the staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They really seemed to care about the monkeys and their well-being. I'm definitely coming back again next time I'm in Newport. I can't wait to see what other adventures await! Thanks for listening, Archie Speed
