We have been watching the TV series on this wonderful sanctuary. Decided to visit, and we were not disappointed. What a fabulous place for a family day out. Reasonable price to get in, which makes a nice change. The monkey enclosures are fabulous and although sometimes it was difficult to spot some of the animals that just added to the fun. We were treated to a wonderful call display from the gibbons and play by the orangutans. For children there are amazing play facilities. Also plenty of picnic tables to use. The disabled facilities are excellent. We are going back.
Absolutely amazing place. The place is fairly big and it does take a while to get around to all see all the monkeys. I would recommended giving yourself plenty of time to go around. When we were going around, I noticed you didn't feel too crowded as the pathways are big. The orangatans and chimpanzee were my favourites. The area was clean. Had food and drink, which was reasonably priced. If you pay by cash at the kiosk you don't get change. It doesn't make sense and a few other people commented about it.
The staff here are lovely, very knowledgeable about the different species at monkey world. There is plenty to see, lots of monkeys doing funny things to watch. They have plenty of space and lots to do. Their rescue stories are interesting and at times very sad but all the monkeys seem happy and safe at monkey world. Quite expensive for what it is so definitely book ahead online to save 10%. I assume the money all goes to the monkeys so people happy to pay it!
We had a lovely visit today. Think we managed to see everything that was there. There are play areas for kids and plenty of places for refreshments. The kids loved the noisy gibbons, the chimpanzes and all of the smaller monkeys too! Plenty of parking. No queue to get in. We didn't go in any cafes/restaurants; we got some cold drinks and ice creams from a kiosk - they were normal price when on a day out. All the monkeys looked well cared for and staff seemed friendly and knowledgeable.
First time visiting but won't be the last! I have followed Monkey World's journey for years, I saw their TV program with Jim and Allison, instantly loved it and wanted to visit. It did not disappoint. It's a huge site with so many different species of monkeys; I could stand and watch the chimps all day! There's a cafe centrally located which is reasonably priced, a few play areas which are great for your children and there are talks by the keepers are various points through the day. I want to go back already!
My daughter enjoyed her visit here. Staff were friendly and very knowledgable about all of the monkeys and you could tell that they really cared about them. The cafes and toilets were located within easy reach. Prices were very reasonable. The play area was amazing! My daughter had so much fun climbing and going down the slides. There was also the chance to make an enrichment bottle for the monkeys too.
