This place has a big park with a play area for kids, a mini adventure golf, and it's by the riverside. They have toilets, but you'll need a 20p coin to use them. Drinking alcohol is not allowed, but you can do private fishing here. They also have a canteen for food. It's a great spot for picnics, playing around, and jogging.
We visited the park during the Chippenham food and drink festival, great place for it next to the river with a park to keep the kids occupied.
Nice open space beside the river with a playpark. A enjoyable place to walk through or stop for a rest. Great for taking kids for picnic and to feed the ducks from the feeding area just across the park to the main Street on the bridge there is a designated feeding the. The area seemed well looked after and kepd tidy it's worth a visit as it leads across a bridge to another park to make your walk longer if you wanted to or if one park is to buisy you can cross over to the other.
Went for a stroll around this park on Sunday 28th of April 2019 to walk off our Sunday roast.we parked in the Olympiad leisure car park which was free on this day, then it is just a short walk either down the steps or along the road that leads into the park. Its quite a nice walk along the pathway which follows the River Avon as it winds it's way out of the Chippenham Town Centre, there is plenty of wildlife to be seen on and around the river banks. The walk takes you around the pitch and put 9 hole golf course with crazy golf and cafe.If you want you can walk or cycle for miles as the pathway carries on to The town of Calne, the route we took was along the river then in a circle back to where the entrance to the cafe and golf course is.It was a very nice walk and suitable for everyone as the pathways are level and easy going. This place is well worth a visit.
Monkton Park Golf Course & The Tenth Hole Tea Room. We had a great morning playing football golf. Instead of playing actual Golf we were kicking footballs. Great fun at a fantastic price.
A lovely, green and neat park. The children love it, golfers play their golf. Young adult do their ball games and parents watch their children catching fun. Just behind the town centre so he can take time off after sorting business.
