Public park with football pitches, tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds and an observatory.
A lovely park for various activities to keep your mind and body active. It has a kids playground, basketball courts, adjacent tennis courts (not within the park), fields suitable for cricket, a small pond, paved paths and lots of grass and trees. It can be cold when it is windy especially in open areas of the park where wind isn't broken by trees.
Rockprest festival Amazing day. A bit wet. Not too crowded. 3 stages. Funfair. Food. Beer. Good music and a good crowd . Will be going next time.
Park is big. Relatively ok. But children's playground is full of trash... one of filthiest I have ever seen. Every day, there are tons of trashy people who come and smoke cigarettes, eat food, and make mess around children's playground.
Good, but loud with the concert. Photo is moor park @ 4pm Sunday 8th July 2023. Been on today and it's sooo peaceful. Update 12/04/24. The ducklings are appearing. Improvements being made to all areas of the park, plans to install fountains in the serpentine lake.
Highly recommended. This is a great neighborhood park! It is a serene environment and it's easy to locate. Lovely place for a walk, you can sit and appreciate nature. It's dog friendly so you'll likely see a few dog owners with their fur babies. There's a play area for kids unfortunately I didn't take photos of the play area, there are cafes within the park too so you can grab your coffee on the go.
Moor Park is a spacious green place. The footpaths are in good condition, which is fabulous for elderly, wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and the visually impaired. There's a cute little cafe where you can buy nice ice cream. Youngsters can be found at the skate park doing their thing. There is plenty of parking available too. It is quite common that the park will host events, such as BBC Radio's Party in the Park, this year. Funfairs and the circus can be seen a couple of times a year.
