Situated between Canterbury and Faversham and just an hour from London, it boasts ten acres of Edwardian gardens and tea room open to the public on Wednesdays to Sundays and Bank Holidays between April and September, luxury accommodation including a five-bedroom B&B and holiday let sleeping 12, and the beautiful house is available to hire for weddings and private events.
An enjoyable walk around the gardens with some nice extras like the maze. Not lots for kids, unless they like running around like loons, which mine do so they were happy. Nice coffee and ice cream from the tea room too.
This has been on my list of places to go for a while now and it certainly didn't disappoint! The lady on arrival who checked our tickets was really lovely and welcoming. The gardens are absolutely stunning, we had a wonderful time, very peaceful, a real place of tranquility. We plan to return again this year before the Gardens close in September.
This place is an absolute gem of a find! We weren't aware of it until a Google Map search for something to do on the weekend (Ironically). Such a beautiful place to visit - the grounds are stunning. There was a vintage car show going on too, so that was an unexpected bonus. Well worth a visit
Large, well-laid out gardens with some brilliant views over Kent. We bought day tickets, reasonably priced at PS9 each which gave access to all external areas. The house itself is available to book for accommodation, but we walked the gardens on a sunny day and enjoyed it immensely. For gardening buffs (like me) it is very interesting with plenty of landscaping views to admire and get ideas from. Well worth a visit and we will go again, but in a different season.
Pretty gardens, with different areas to explore. Because the gardens are on a slope, the terrain can be challenging to some visitors; however there are plenty of seats dotted around the grounds. Free to Historic Houses members.
I had a stall at the Greyfest 2024 event on the cricket pitch. The facilities were good and location easy enough to find. Well maintained lawns and trees and overall a good location gor this event.
