This 10-acre botanical garden features a variety of plant species, including roses, herbaceous borders, and a rock garden. The garden is also home to over 100 modern and contemporary sculptures by local and international artists, which are dispersed throughout the grounds. Visitors can wander along the meandering paths and discover new pieces around every corner. The tranquil atmosphere and stunning vistas make it an ideal spot for relaxation and contemplation.
What a magical place to visit. The garden has lots of different areas such as the Japanese garden and the tropical garden. The meadow garden is superb just now and the sculptures are fabulous. I only gave it four stars as there are some steep slopes and we visited after heavy rain on the previous day so may not be suitable for everyone
Beautiful place to visit, garden is maintained so nicely, lots to explore and see, sculptures dotted around everywhere. We spent about 2 hours but could definitely have spent longer and made use of the little cafe. Would definitely recommend visiting if in the area!
Nice gardens with lots of quirky sculptures. Not that big and too difficult terrain for wheelchairs as it's hilly. Small cafe with tea coffee cake & scones with clotted cream & jam. There was a sculpture workshop on the day I visited. They also have plants for sale. Would imagine it's lovely in summer but it was cold on my visit. Japanese garden was my favourite.
Amazed that such a relatively small space could hold so many different pockets of garden. Gravel paths link a variety of themed spaces with rich planting of flowers shrubs and trees so arriving in each space is a suprise. Numerous benches around to sit and admire and enjoy the atmosphere. Sculptures scattered throughout the gardens add interest, as if that were needed, and the cakes at the coffee stall are good. Not really suitable for children, not a play space, more suited to adults. Gravel paths a bit narrow and steep in places so probably not very wheelchair friendly, but my wheelchair pushing skills rather limited,
A little haven and mix of interesting contemporary sculptures alongside wildflower meadows and lots of secretive paths and landscaping. A well kept secret, which I'm glad to have discovered.
This is a Hidden Gem. The owners have done an amazing job all the hard work that has gone in to creating these gardens and the details have not gone unmissed. So much to see This place is well worth a visit credit to the owners keep up the good work will be visiting again soon.
