About
The Mourne Mountains are a granite mountain range located in County Down, Northern Ireland. The highest peak is Slieve Donard, which stands at 850 meters (2,789 ft) above sea level. The range is known for its rugged beauty, with heather-covered moors, rolling hills, and sparkling streams. The Mournes are also home to the Mourne Wall, a 35-kilometer-long (22 mi) dry stone wall that was built in the 18th century to enclose the Shamrock Estate. The area is popular for hiking, rock climbing, and other outdoor activities, with many trails and routes to explore. On a clear day, the Mournes offer breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and the Irish Sea.

We had a fantastic time in the Mournes with Finn. The rivers are spectacular, the water is so fresh and definitely worth a swim in. It was great to see it so busy and people enjoying nature. It is one of our favourite spots.
