History museum with multi-media exhibits on the region's civil rights movement & early conflict era.
Small but impactful museum dedicated to the victims of Bloody Sunday. We were lucky enough and honored to speak to a sibling of a victim. The museum wisely frames Bloody Sunday within modern victims of colonialism and oppression.
The visit was one of the highlights of my entire vacation in Ireland. It explained so much that I didn't know, and gave me a new perspective on what's happening in my own country, and just about humanity itself. The guides were impassioned and knowledgeable, and the gift shop had a great selection of books that I would never have known or found. Don't miss this museum! Plus the Derry Girls exhibit was lots of fun!
Freedom is never simple. History will make us cherish it more. I stayed here for a long time and I think if you come to the island of Ireland, you must visit it, including the streets and museums.
Best place for history of period of the Troubles, unrest from 60's to 90's and killing of civilians. Don't forget to hike along the monuments and murals closby.
I'd say it was very well put together but required a lot of reading and absorbtion. Would have preferred a more immersuve experience but that requires money, I guess Definitely worth a visit.
Little museum with intensive stories of the events during bloody sunday. 100% what I come here for although I still need to see other more museums for the troubles. Information is quite small to read or listen to at times when there are a few people nearby at once.

Wheelchair-accessible entrance
