There's nothing like a great family day out! One ticket includes The National Motor Museum, Palace House, Beaulieu Abbey, World of Top Gear and more!
The park offers a diverse range of attractions, including the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu Abbey, a scenic lake, a Top Gear car showcase, a monorail, a Victorian Flower Garden, a restaurant, a children's playground, and the historic Palace House. The National Motor Museum features an extensive collection of over 100 vehicles, ranging from steam-powered machines to modern Formula 1 cars, and includes rare gems like the Peel P50 and the classic Ford GT. Adjacent to the museum, the monorail provides an elevated view of the entire park, allowing visitors to take in the sights from above. The Top Gear car showcase displays many of the iconic vehicles featured in the television series. For those looking to unwind, the Victorian Flower Garden offers a peaceful setting for a leisurely stroll. A well-stocked souvenir shop is located at the park's entrance, offering a variety of items. Parking is ample and free of charge, though tickets are required for park entry. I highly recommend a visit and would gladly return in the future.
Wow! I like cars, and I like museums, so this was on my bucket list of trips during our holiday but it was more of a sell to my wife and kids. However, once there, due to the huge variety of things to see and do, we all absolutely loved it! Our youngest (10) enjoyed collecting the embossed stamps and especially the character and vehicle cards (Lord Montagu card is ) it really got her involved, hunting down the stamps and speaking to the various staff to ask for cards. The falconry talk/performance was exceptional, with plenty of information (but not too much) followed by a mesmerising display of flying by an obviously well looked after and beautiful bird. We watched the parade of cars in the central exhibition area, which was also interesting and varied, followed by a meet and greet with the cars and drivers. The museum is beautiful with some really unique examples of motoring through the ages. My only slight gripe here is that the route through the museum doesn't seem to flow very well, sometimes having to double back on yourself to see everything. A very small complaint though, on what is otherwise a beautifully curated collection of interesting vehicles. I enjoyed seeing the Top Gear cars, which I'd watched through the years on the TV, actually in front of me. We were so busy that we didn't get to explore the ruins or the gardens but hope to return in the future. Oh! Get a guide book! Amazing value for a very comprehensive and glossy, A4 sized Bible on Beaulieu.
Absolutely brilliant day out. The facilities were all very well maintained and clean, the staff were all welcoming and helpful. There was obviously a beautiful collection of cars, but we also really enjoyed exploring he rest of the site too (don't miss the falconry display!). I'd really recommend Beaulieu for a day out for all ages.
Had a great experience here at the Motor museum today. It's so full of history and interesting, even if you do not have an interest in cars. There are so many cars and motorbikes to look at and you can easily spend hours there. There are many cars in movies and it's all fascinating. You can also visit the abbey or other attractions in the surrounding area after as it is also included in your ticket. I would also recommend going on the monorail as it gives you a great view of the grounds and the motor museum from the top as well. There is also a great play area for children under 14 It's great for its value and I would recommend coming!
On the face of it, the full ticket is very expensive - PS67 for a family. However, when you think about it, this price is easily justified. Theres a monorail running every 15 minutes for the whole day. A classic London bus running all day. Multiple unique cars parading. A small army of mechanics maintaining the cars. Another small army of staff manning the manor/abbey/restaurant/coffee shops. Possibly one of the nicest and best kept play parks I've ever seen for the kids. Beautifully maintained gardens and estate. The price makes sense. We visited with a 2 and 4 year old. I reckon it would take us 3 visits to see everything with them, there's way too much for just one day!
First visit in 30 years and it didn't disappoint! The motor museum is exactly what you want. Full or rich history, information signboards, audio information and cars! Lots and lots of cars, motorbikes, vans etc. A car lovers wet dream! Take a trip on the monorail to see the whole place from high up. Walk around the gardens and off to see the palace. Visit the secret WW2 exhibition. And in-between all of that, visit one of the cafes or restaurants dotted around. There is plenty of seating inside and out. The toilets are a tight squeeze, but no shortage of them. All in all I'd say it's a great day out and caters for every member of the family. Don't expect top quality food! But it's definitely not the worst. The workforce are a young bunch and need a bit of direction. But are friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend for a fun day out.
