The award winning National Space Centre, home to the UK's largest planetarium, six interactive galleries, 42m high iconic Rocket Tower and over 150 hands-on elements, really is an out of this world experience for the whole family.
This place was awesome, I would have given it five stars, but there were about twenty different schools there on the day I visited. Far too many children running around being annoying, it would be good if they limited the school visits to two groups a day so as everyone can look around in peace, because there is so much information to read, it was hard with all the children. The cafe was nice, the toilets were spotless, the planetarium was the highlight, that was great, and it was easy to park (PS4 all day). A good day out whether on your own, as a couple or the whole family.
Great place for kids. It has a shop and parking as well as a caffetteria. It's a bit pricey and on top of that you have to pay for parking. Most of the exhibitions are outdated. Would I go there? I am not sure. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you have small kids interested in learning about space.
The staff at the reception was super nice and friendly. She was very helpful. We got the tickets went in. So is very informative in general. Sometimes was a bit crowded at places. But all good. Also saw the movie at the planetarium. That was probably the best. Only issue was the seats were a bit uncomfortable. Collectively is good, if you want to learn more about space shuttles and more.
The National Space Centre was truly out of this world. The combination of fascinating exhibits, interactive displays, and the awe-inspiring Planetarium made for an unforgettable day. Whether you're a space enthusiast or simply looking for an educational and entertaining outing, the National Space Centre is a fantastic destination. It's a place that inspires curiosity and wonder, making it a must-visit for anyone interested in the wonders of the universe.
This place is amazing! Hard to tell in words you need to see it all ! So much information. Tickets 20PS per person. 1PS less if booked online. Would pay even more for what it is. Needs all day to explore all floors and take part in activities. Plenty of parking, but not free of charge. Overall this is superb. Highly recommended.
A great place to take the kids and adults who want to learn and watch space and astronauts. The astronaut show in the move theatre was amazing with a big globe screen and sound effects. Walking to the top of the space rocket and playing the mini games along the way. Some cafe and souvenir shop to buy food and gifts. Purchase ticket in advance online and it turned into a free annual pass.
