This 15th-century tower offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding countryside from its rooftop platform. The tower's intricate stone carvings and ornate architecture make it a striking landmark, while its rich history and former use as a lookout point for the Croome Estate add to its fascination.
Took us 50 minutes walk from the Visitors Centre via High Green (exited site via the drive and across a field then walked down the road). Paths on the other side of the M5 were overgrown in places and the route was not well sign posted - if we'd come the other route it may have been better but we had been specifically recommended this route by the gentleman in the Visitors Centre. The tower itself was interesting and we got great views from the top around the county and over to the Malverns, I would have liked to do it as a circular walk but the alternative route back was not clearly signposted, unfortunately the route is also not on any of the standard maps either. Tower itself was great and volunteers gave us sheets to we could make the most of the view by identifying certain places. There are no facilities up by the tower.
I've shot from this location many times, be it sunset or through the night it is a lovely location to photograph day or night.
Lovely place to visit, the views are amazing over the Malvern hills only downside is the 45 minutes walk from the main croome National trust house. We'll worth it though.
Only open on certain months so check. We walked from Croome, takes about 40mins. About 30 steps to top. Panoramic views. Walked back a different way. Just don't fly your kite because the horse riders don't like it.
I'm sure it's great, but even on the days it's claimed to be open, there's no guarantee that when you arrive someone will be there to let you in.
An excellent example of how the rich show off. Look at how much land I have got. But ultimately just a viewing platform.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Restaurant
Toilets
Good for kids
