Dignified, 18th-century country mansion with picture gallery and elegant decor, set in a deer park.
We came here on the 21st of April we did not book but was able to come in. There's not really a queue. Entry price was reasonable too. It was a nice place to explore and have a walk. Good garden and nature trail. We only went around the grounds and did not go on the main house. There are plenty to see on the grounds like the deer park and gardens. We had lunch at the Carriage House Cafe which has a nice ambience, you can still see the facade of the carriage house as it was those years ago. The food was not too bad I had the ham and cheese sandwich and cross in with cappuccino. They are on a bit pricey side though but decent serving. I love their used bookshop they have a variety of genres to choose from, you could get lost in there looking through several rooms and floors of books. Overall a good family day out and a fantastic place to wander.
Very nice national trust estate. There are guided tours at certain timepoints which I would certainly recommend! We had a very lovely volonteer as guide, we started with a small group and more and more people joined along the way wanting to hear his many stories. You get to see both the upstairs and downstairs which is always very nice. There is also a nice tea room at the estate (small walk) and another one more at the beginning where you will also find the shop. We saw quite a lot of people with dogs who came for a lovely walk at the grounds.
Had a good few hours here today. Lots to do, plenty of outdoor walking. The house is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. My mom has mobility issues and staff were very kind, offered her the use of the buggy if it was needed.... just ask a volunteer who would radio the buggy driver and then they come and pick you up and take you to your destination... a fab idea. Will definitely visit again and take part in the walks and take a picnic. We only took snacks which wasn't sufficient for the time we were there, snacks to buy were quite pricey and the kiosk by the field of play had sold out of sandwiches . A lovely place to visit.
We go to Attingham for the walks. It's wonderful The house has been much improved on since our first visit and I should probably take another look. The trouble is that whilst I'm indoors I can't be outdoors. There's an impressive walled garden, a kids adventure playground, woodland walks, a deer park and a gift shop.
My family and I love coming here for a walk. Lovely well-kept gardens, delicious coffee and cake and various routes to take when walking. beautiful scenery. A go to for me! Also glad I could go whilst the free photography exhibition was there.
Very busy with it being Easter holilday. Car park was very full, however the rangers let me park in a space that wasn't really available to use due to my autistic daughter whose going blind.... made our day out special instead of having to go home .... Thank-you so much for a great day out. We did the woodland walk and will be coming back every day as it was
