Seaside nature reserve featuring a shingle spit and salt marshes with wildlife and a visitor centre.
A lovely atmospheric coastal village packed with families in the summer. It's the starting point for trips to see the seals and it's a beautiful flat walk to Morston Quay. The Magpie bakery is excellent and there are lots of small gift shops and galleries to wander around.
Lovely walk, we parked at Blakeney and walked to Cley. The footpaths were quite good, uneven in places, though. The scenes were beautiful and looked across the marshlands. It's definitely a great place to walk to blow the cobwebs away!
A lovely walk. We parked at Blakeney and took the route around to the neighboring village Cley next the Sea. It's not an excessively long walk and the path is well kept. Lovely scenery and lots of wildlife, if you have some binoculars you should definitely bring them along. Both villages either side of the nature reserve have a number of amenities and free parking.
Very friendly National Trust reception to give you advice about the walk. Pay for parking via credit card at reception
Ideal location if you want to go and see some seals. Two different types of seals are found here and are found and different times of the year so check before coming. Tickets relatively cheap and don't need to pre book can just turn up. There are only a few seal trips a day due to tides so make sure this is scheduled into your planning. Would recommend bringing a raincoat or towel as can get sprayed on the boats. The national trust carpark has a small shop selling a limited range of food and drink and there are also toilets.
