Accessible by a hiking trail, this Iron Age hill fort on 60 acres includes a Neolithic flint mine.
Fantastic site. The view is stunning at any time of the year. Walk along the earth ramparts to travel back in time. Parking can be an issue at one of the sites close to the Ring.
Such a cool place to go for a long walk. It was so cool to see the horses and the fantastic view of the countryside. I've lived in West Sussex for 10 years and only just discovered this place! If you have a hard time walking uphill I would not recommend this for you as I'm young and healthy and still struggled to get up the initial incline! That being said, absolutely stunning little gem :)
Nice walk with amazing views on a sunny day. You can meet some sheep and cows on the way. Lots of parking at the bottom of the hill. Be ready to climb a bit and wear the proper shoes, but the road is worth it.
Nice old hill fort. Great place for a picnic in summer or a windy walk in winter. It's a relatively easy climb up to the top with stepped paths for the steep bits. At the top there's a great panoramic view. There are horses grazing here so keep dogs on leads. At the top there are some benches and circular paths around the perimeter. There are a couple of very small car parks nearby which fill up quickly so you'll likely find you need to park far away and walk here.
Stunning place, a little hilly in places. Depending on the time of day you can walk round and not see a soul. It does get busier the later on you go. The wild horses are a sight to see Even managed to see the Northern lights during a late night/early morning visit as t the weekend
Beautiful hidden gem after many years living here first time visiting. Well maintained and very peaceful
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
