Panoramic city and mountain views spread from the nature trails through a wildlife-rich landscape.
This was a lovely walk up the mountain that offered stunning views over Belfast City. There are three route options offered, depending on differing abilities. The pathways are easy to navigate and lead you all the way to the top. If you like a walk and would like to see Belfast from a different angle, this is for you. Walking shoes or sturdy trainers will suffice. Completely free with ample free car parking and a little coffee shop with seating inside and outside.
If you like your landscapes rugged and windswept, this is the place for you. Teeming with wildlife at every turn and stunning panoramic views of greater Belfast, Lough Neagh, Strangford Lough, the Mournes and even Scotland on a good day.
Amazing place for a hike/ walk not to challenging, and you are rewarded with fantastic views when the weather is good. But anyway, it's still great, and nice coffee at the bottom as well.
Different every time I visit. We had a wonderful morning's walk followed by Coffee, a pasty and a scone. Made there that morning. Felt brilliant afterwards. Decent cardio walk but distracted by the gorgeous views.
There's a wonderful little cafe here with super friendly staff. Then there's the most amazing scenery and a lovely walk up to the summit which is around 1.3 miles each way.
Beautiful Sunday morning walk, great views of Belfast lough, the cows just wander about in case anyone has a fear of animals, its not a challenging climb but moderate walk as constantly going uphill. Easier going down, definitely recommend wearing boots as it's rocky on the summit trail
