A natural amphitheatre on a spur of the Cotswolds, with views over the Vale of Evesham Dover's Hill was the site of the original English Olympic Games, which began here 400 years ago in 1612. The tradition continues with the annual Cotswold Olimpicks - a fun-packed day for all ages. Of course, there's much more to this historical amphitheatre than just fun and games. This mixture of grassland and woodland includes the site of a Roman vineyard and is also home to a variety of birds, insects and wild flowers.
Lovely place. National Trust car park 5 mins flat walk to the view point. Great walk following the path round through the woods, not too strenuous. What a surprise when we got back to the top, The Cambridge Morris men.
Beautiful place to visit for dog walking, picnic, romantic wander. The views are far stretching and the walk down over the side is in the style of a cumbrian fell-side. Free parking and easy access once you're there.
A very pleasant vista to have a picnic and free parking as well. We were able to see all the way to Birmingham and Coventry from here.
Stunning views, lovely area, you can actually see the skyscrapers of Birmingham and Coventry of in the distance, and to the west Pen y van mountains in Wales
Parking lot was small, but luckily we got a space. We only dropped by for max 10 minutes to see the view as we were short on time to tour the Cotswolds. It's absolutely lovely and we were lucky with a sunny day! Bonus is it's only a short walk from the parking area to the viewpoint.
Stunning views from the crest over the countryside. We were cycling in the Cotswolds and were on a much needed break. It's quite a breathtaking view and all too short for our cycling group as we pressed on.
