This scenic coastal area popular for walks, birdwatching & geocaching also has a tea room & shop.
One of the best beach & sea view with open seating in natural green space. The beach and surrounding heath provide ample opportunities for outdoor activities. Whether you're interested in a leisurely walk, a picnic, or exploring the interactive family trails, there's something for everyone. The beach is also dog-friendly, allowing your furry friends to join in the fun. There is a cafe named coast-guard tea room with ample sitting area & parking, which is managed very well by National trust.
Our first visit was great we will definitely be back! We took our puppy and went for a lovely walk across the Heath amongst the beautiful heather. Also stopped at tearooms for an ice cream for us and our dog- staff were lovely and helpful.
A lovely place for when you want to stretch your legs while enjoying the Suffolk coast. Plenty of car parking (free for members), a nice cafe and a second hand book shop. Walking trails are well marked and there are also plenty of benches for when you want to stop and take in the view
In better circumstances we would return but this was the end of Trek26 along the coastline at 24 out of 26 miles. Picturesque views of the sea surrounded by sand dunes and beaches. A lovely place of the world.
What a hidden gem! Stunning location not overcrowded, absolutely beautiful. Parking inexpensive and a dog friendly cafe and public toilets on site. Well worth spending a few hours either on the beach or exploring the nature reserve. Beware of Adders!
Car park free for members, toilets & cafe. Walk onto shore. Area under Cliffs roped off - bird protection? Took short option up 1st cliff steps thru caravan park then onto footpath & heath. Sand martins nesting in Cliffs on beach. Saw commas on path. Think I saw 2 green woodpeckers on wood edge by looking over fence into adjacent fields. Didn't see anything-wildlife - on heath but interesting landscape.
