What a beautiful surprise! The place is so beautiful and peaceful. The guides were very nice to us and friendly. We had a chat about the history of the place and it was interesting. The house was quite empty so we had the place to ourselves which was nice. I would gladly come back again as I live nearby.
We visited Greys Court and Nuffield Place on the one day and had a lovely day even though it was an overcast and coolish day. Both homes were unique and interesting and had beautiful gardens. Plenty of time to enjoy both places.
Biggest place we have been so far, lots of rooms all fitted out and beautifully decorated with period features. Packed lunches advised especially if you have children, food expensive. Also unless you are extremely fit that you get the shuttle bus from the car park as it is a long uphill walk to the house and grounds.
Loved this place, see how a billionaire lived quietly and modestly after building a British car empire. Super interesting tour guides as well.
Lovely smallish house with nice gardens. Great staff and volunteers who can give you loads of interesting information.
Just like a 'Time Machine' see the home of Lord and Lady Nuffield, had the air of my grandparents house although much more elaborate. Who else would have a workshop in a bedroom wardrobe of possibly the wealthiest man in the world at his zenith.
