The reserve is also home to a variety of archaeological features, including ancient settlements and monuments.
Plenty of parking can be peaceful depending on the time you visit. There is a well maintained boardwalk for easy access routes for wheelchairs/scooters and pushchairs. There are some soft sandy routes that are not suitable for wheelchairs as you will most likely to get stuck. Apart from the short boardwalk routes, there is plenty of beautiful scenery to enjoy and relax to.
Nice place for a walk. Not very busy, little car park available too. Great walk, beautiful views, plenty of different animal species to spot. Fantastic poster about keeping dogs on the leads. It should be mandatory on all NT sites. Also good idea with spray painting dog poos to show people how they are leaving the site behind them.
What a beautiful part of the county to visit! Parking is also cheap, PS1 per hour or less if booking longer. Wellies highly recommend unless very dry outside.
We went on guided tour organised by the Hardy Orchid Society with Darren, one of the Trust rangers, who was very helpful and knowledgeable. The site is stunning with very diverse flora and fabulous views. LOVED the architect designed welcome centre. Thanks for a brilliant tour. The site is massive with a good amount of parking. There aren't any public toilets that I'm aware of.
Amazing place to visit and take your dog for a walk down the smash beaches. The tide can come in quite quickly so if our exploring the sands just be aware, but lovely to sit on the sand banks and just relax. Does cost for parking but around PS1 per hour so not to bad. Wellies I would recommend unless really warm
Amazing experience doing field work on the dunes. Saw endangered species and my biological knowledge was enriched.
