PLEASE NOTE While the grounds and estate at Speke Hall are open every day of the week, the mansion itself is only open Wednesday to Sunday inclusive.
Great place to visit with the family and show the younger generations how the wealthy English use to live. Nice woodland walks and open gardens for children to play in, safe. Places for tea and a picnic area. Plenty of parking space even on a busy bank holiday.
Wonderful National Trust Property that is well worth a visit. Easy, accessible parking and great facilities on site, along with a beautiful garden to explore. The house is without doubt one of the most beautiful in the National Trust portfolio. If you're in the area it's well worth a visit. The Hall is within a very short distance of John Lennon Airport so it's worth noting you will hear some air traffic noise when on site, but it's not a problem. Highly recommend a visit.
Great historic property, well read guides who are friendly & want to share their knowledge, beautiful kept grounds, plenty to do for children, and the food in the cafe was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our day.
I recently visited Speke Hall and had an amazing experience. The Tudor architecture and beautifully maintained grounds are stunning. The volunteer room guidrs were informative and brought the hall's rich history to life. The gardens are serene and perfect for a leisurely stroll. The cafe provided delicious food, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Speke Hall is a hidden gem and a must-visit for anyone interested in history or looking for a picturesque day out. Highly recommended!
A lovely day out for the family. An interesting bug spotting trail for the kids and several good play areas. A funny walk through the woods spotting a giant. Also very close to the airport so the kids enjoy some plane spotting! Beautiful grounds, interesting house and as always lovely volunteers who are very helpful. Nice cafes, good food and lovely ice cream, a winner!
This was an amazing place. It was my first time with my family and it didn't disappoint. The hall and grounds are fantastic for walking around and the facilities are excellent too. You can make a full day of it with the coastal walk too and seeing quite a few aeroplanes with being very close to john lennon airport. We had an amazing time. It is somewhere that we will definitely visit again.
