Sunnycroft is a charming Victorian villa situated in the heart of Wellington, Shropshire. This delightful property boasts an impressive collection of artifacts and antiques, showcasing the eclectic tastes of its former owners, the Crowe family. The villa's interior features an array of ornate furnishings, intricate wood carvings, and exquisite decorative arts, all carefully preserved to maintain its original charm. The property's tranquil gardens, complete with a picturesque pond and walking trails, offer a serene escape from the bustling town center.
Lovely 'small' home for the National Trust, but lots of interesting information and treasures throughout! The docents/ guides were great and even though it's 'only' 5 acres, there are many places to explore! The grounds do get muddy on very wet days and there is no cafe/ tea room or gift shop. It was a wonderful visit anyway!
Sunnycroft Wellington shropshire home of a Shropshire brewer, a beautiful Edwardian gentleman's home. Exactly how it was when it was built the family never changed the house. Wonderful grade 1 glass house in the grounds. Well worth a visit, national trust property. Pre book only
Did an embroidery event at Sunnycroft. This place is such a little NT beauty . Honestly, this house is marvellous. I really loved this place. Love how it's kept to all its original features. Truly amazing place, and I look forward to coming back.
Sunny croft is very much a male domain , well worth a visit as it has a lot of history attached to it. You do need to book as you are taken on a timed tour around the house . If you arrive before your timed tour starts you do have to wait, otherwise no waiting. Unfortunately the house and gardens have changed since COVID , you will see furniture that is what you may describe as tatty! If you listen to your tour guide they explain the reason why these have not been restored! It is dark inside, the reason for this, is to preserve the house from damage from having to much sun on the furniture and art work. There is no longer a cafe there I have visited several times over the years and enjoy my visit every time Especially listening to the tour guides their knowledge of the history of Sunny Croft is amazing
Went there by myself and enjoyed being part of a tour group as it felt less lonely. The whole property has lots to see with a lovely garden. Great property! Great parking! Good for photos!
