This 15th-century farmhouse and its outbuildings are surrounded by a beautiful garden, featuring a variety of flowers, shrubs, and trees. The farmhouse itself has been restored to its original glory, showcasing traditional timber framing and thatched roofing. Visitors can explore the property's charming rooms, including a flagstone-floored kitchen and a parlour with a large inglenook fireplace. The property also features a delightful orchard and a woodland walk that offers scenic views of the surrounding countryside.
Has a free carpark behind the village hall, an information board as you go through the gate. We were there 28th July and there were cows, bullocks by the entrance. Very interested in our dog so we went off the path to the right, still a public path, adjacent to the field. No toilets or cafe, unsuitable for the disabled .
Loverly little quiet place for a walk. Small car park behind the village hall. No facilities on site. There is an easy path along the bottom. If you are more adventurous then there are various walks up and down the rises. Views are great. Beware.... Many dog walkers and they all don't pick up afterwards.
Love the walk plenty of space for the dogs to run. Can get a bit overgrown but that's certainly no gripe from me. Only observation is the 1 dog bin in the car park.
Fun short walk in the countryside. I did see the red kites mentioned on the sign. Really nice views from the path. It's a reasonably easy walk from the carpark (it is quite muddy in the carpark so take appropriate footwear); walking the complete length of the path and back again took about 1 hour walking at a slow pace. There was plenty of spaces when we went. There are no toilets here. Worth a stop by if you are in the area.
