Charming park with formal and water gardens, herbaceous borders, lawns, topiary and an arboretum.
Absolutely fantastic place to visit. Literally 20 minute drive from my home. The lovely National Trust gentleman who greeted us at reception was full of information, extremely helpful and polite. We were shown the garden map and what was where. We were told about the coffee/snacks van. We had ice cream and a drink. Toilets were available. Parking for members is at the Holt village hall car park. The gardens are beautiful. Plenty to see. Picnic area. Plenty of seating, benches etc. A little museum which is full with information. Also a second hand bookshop.
Beautiful place to have a picnic. Little outdoor cafe or you can bring your own lunch/snacks. Limited tables, but lots of garden space to sit. Gorgeous garden with lots of different flowers, trees, pond. Charity bookshop
This was a very charming little garden with some interesting plants and planting. The water features were nice to follow and added sound. There is a little refreshment van that we tried out. Very nice. The staff were all very friendly and we would return, hopefully on a brighter, warmer day.
Wow, what a cracking little place! Totally unexpected. Beautiful gardens with a lovely vibe. Sadly house was shut due to a leak but still well worth the visit.
Nice place for a day out. Gardens are beautiful. Lovely picnic area with a small cafe and a second hand bookshop.
Visited on a very warm September day. Parking is well signposted and about a 2 minute walk away. This charming garden shows the English country style at its best. Full of variety, there are peaceful water gardens, colourful borders and imaginative topiary. You can picnic in the Arboretum or grab a tea, coffee or in my case an ice cream. I can imagine it might not be so relaxing during school holidays. If you enjoy a traditional English garden, definitely worth a visit.
