Wimpole Estate, a 17th-century mansion, showcases an impressive collection of art and antiques, surrounded by beautiful gardens and a working farm. Explore the estate's varied landscapes, including a woodland walk, a folly, and a Gothic-inspired lake. The mansion itself boasts an impressive Great Hall, a stunning State Bedroom, and a fascinating library.
Beautiful spot. Very calm. High up with superb views. Plenty of parking. Hilly walk. We've been severely timed and definitely returning soon.
You do need to pick the right day to come up here as the views are fantastic (so no point going when it is misty or raining, etc). I visited at sunset so it was quite scenic. Supposedly, on a good day, you can see towards the Isle of Wight (my visit did not coincide with one of those days). There is a car park about 5 minutes walk away which you can see from the top of Win Green.
Lovely 360 degree views. We got our motorhome up there relatively easy. 7.6 feet wide. A bit bumpy but not too bad. Loads of parking and lovely walk. Great for a pitstop on the way to Devizes. Followed the way using Google Maps. Satnav was dumb!
Win Green is a great spot to visit, and it's free of charge. Good place to take the dog out for a walk and there's great views of the local area. Has an interesting little forest you can explore
A beautiful place to visit with good parking facilities. Walks offer superb panoramic views on top the highest point of Cranbourne Chase. On a clear day you can even see the Isle of Wight.
Great place for a walk with far reaching views. It is the highest hill in the Cranborne chase
