Restored historic mill exploring the Welsh wool industry via hands-on displays & a textile gallery.
Loved this museum. It was free to enter and full of interesting information on the production of wool. There were also interesting activities like sewing stations and weaving wool. I particularly enjoyed the crochet and knitted item littered around the museum. I took inspiration for my own crochet projects. Really worth coming to see in my opinion.
Great little museum wlaking you through history of woolen industry. We really enjoyed the walk round (free) and the gift shop was great. A lovely little cafe too. Check opening days/times carefully. A small car park made more difficult by a craft fair on, but we managed to squeeze in. They are really trying to make it a working museum as well, but we may have been lucky on the day to get that part of the experience. The building itself and surrounding area also worth the visit. With a short stop in the cafe we had a really enjoyable <2 hours. The people working there were really helpful and friendly as well :)
Fantastic place, lots of information and machinery to watch. Fantastic staff, so friendly and welcoming. Can't believe it's free to get into. Superb food as well. Lovely shop with lots of beautiful things to buy. Highly recommend, even those on wheelchairs get to access all areas.
A great museum, the exhibits and information boards are well produced. The staff are friendly and in particular the cafe has some loverly food and the coffee is pretty good. Our visit in total was for about a hour and a half.
Excellent family attraction. See working machines from the past and volunteers demonstrating how things used to be done. Very interesting and plenty of participation for kids. Donation only no charge
Great, FREE, opportunity for all! We spent around 90mins walking around and reading about the wool industry in Wales. There are a few hands on activities dotted around the museum as well as a couple of videos. I wish I had the opportunity to meet and talk with staff to learn more about the history of Welsh wool. Great little cafe too.
