This scenic spot features a picturesque lake surrounded by lush greenery and walking trails that offer a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The play area is equipped with modern equipment, providing a fun and safe space for kids to burn off energy while parents relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. Visitors can take leisurely strolls around the lake, breathe in the fresh air, and connect with nature.
A good place to take a short break and a nice walk around the lake. There's plenty of parking and a cafe with toilets close by to the car park. There is then a children's adventure park just in front of the cafe. Cross the bridge and you come to the lake with duck feeding platforms and model boat launches. Plenty of Mallards, Canadian geese, one or two grey geese and Moorhens. A pleasant walk around the lake and woodland mixed with things to interest the kids, such as a butterfly table and a dragonfly bench and a batch of wooden mushrooms. It took about 40 mins to circumvent the lake even with many stops.
Loads of parking, nice loop with plenty for kids to do, on-site BBQ facilities are a bonus along with the coffee shop. Venturing out onto the river and into the woods is a favourite for any four legged friend.
Good accessibility pathways around the lake and toilet facilities. Access to the excellent cafe is either over a bridge or by the secondary car park opposite the railway station. Basic children's play area (not enclosed)
