Horticultural collection with show gardens, Victorian-style potager, Alpine house and cafe.
Absolutely beautiful place to visit. The gardens are truly gorgeous. There's plenty to see, rickery areas, winding paths, steps and lakes and a waterfall. Theres so many benches at very regular intervals for those who might struggle with walking for too long. In elevated areas, you can see the Dee Estuary and Wales beyond through the trees making for some fabulous photos! The restaurant, situated just as you enter, serves very good, tasty food and there's a little gift shop and nursery to buy plants and pots as well. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and I will definitely be going again!
Very friendly staff. Lovely location. The gardens are amazing and there's plenty of paths accessible to all. Food wise coffee is lovely and cakes went down a treat. We haven't tried the food yet but it's an excuse to come back. Well worth a day out
Always a nice stroll around the gardens. The cafe is good, I love the homemade sausage roll. The gardens are beautiful.
Best garden I have ever experienced. It's well maintained with a lot of plants to study. This will be a perfect place for a peaceful afternoon. Check the weather though, if it's raining the pavement will get muggy.
What an absolutely beautiful place to visit ! Such a massive range of flowers, trees etc. It would be impossible to see it all in one go. The ground team here are doing an amazing job . Gorgeous day.
Great gardens, beautiful place experience was amazing me and family come here often. Downside I am a student for LJMU and the staff wanted to see my student ID now I don't carry this all the time and this was a last minute trip. I showed the staff my log in account at my uni and my transcript to show I am in second year and they where having none of it talk about hold up everyone not easy when you have a 3 year old. I think the staff should have used a little more common sense in the situation over a couple of quid made our last experience not great!! So a word of caution the desk staff can be a little anti social and have no commons sense !!!
