Nether Winchendon House is a fabulous venue for wonderful photographs and a truly romantic Wedding Reception with three unique Marquee Lawn Locations as well as our utterly charming Carriage Barn to choose from. We are able to host smaller as well as very large celebrations. Your Wedding Day here will be unique to you, where you and your guests can experience a day that you will never forget. The Carriage Barn is perfect for up to 85 dining guests with a total of up to 120 guests during the evening. If you would rather have your Wedding Reception in a Marquee, we have three unique locations, within the gardens, to choose from - The Walled Garden, The East Lawn or The South Lawn.
My husband and I held our wedding reception in the Carriage Barn and it was the perfect venue for us. We loved having the ability to personalise the Carriage Barn into exactly what we wanted and were given access to decorate and set up two days prior to the wedding. We had a wonderful day at Nether Winchendon Carriage Barn celebrating our wedding blessing. From booking to the actual day we felt welcomed and supported with advice and support when we needed it.We entertained our guests on The Terrace which provided fabulous views and an historic backdrop.The Carriage Barn is a beautiful building -perfect for dining and dancing later in the evening. The grounds attached to The Carriage Barn provided a wonderful calm area to spend time with family and friends. We were made SO welcome by Georgianna and Robert and their attention to detail was exceptional. The Bridal Cottage was perfect - so well appointed and it added a magical ending to our day.
Went to view as a prospective wedding venue. The setting itself was lovely however the buildings, terrace and barn all need a lot of work. The outside areas were treacherous underfoot and the outside seating was not appropriate. A real shame.
Beautiful setting for a wedding reception. Set deep in the Buckinghamshire countryside this location offers you a rustic feel surrounded by fields and a short walk from the village church. Ample parking for guests and plenty of space in and outside of the building. Stunning location.
We were so lucky to have found Nether Winchendon House for our wedding in June 2022. We only heard about it because my friends sister got married there but as soon as we saw it on our first visit we fell in love! We wanted a venue that felt like home and allowed us to host the wedding we wanted, not somewhere that came with a whole host of rules, regulations and restrictions. We were helped by Isabel with an advised list of suppliers but we didn't have to use any of them and we weren't charged corkage for bringing our own alcohol. It really just seemed like anything was possible. Our guests can't stop talking about the venue and all the aspects of the day which came together so seamlessly. This would not have been possible without Georgianna and Isabel. Things were getting pretty stressful on the Monday/Tuesday before the wedding but as soon as we came to Nether Winchendon and visited the church, watched the marquee getting put up and walking through the gardens we were immediately filled with excitement and felt much more relaxed. It is a rare gem to find a venue which allows all of this.
We were absolutely delighted with Nether Winchendon House as our wedding venue. All our guests commented on the stunning architecture and the beautiful grounds, and were the most beautiful back drop to our wedding photographs. Giorgianna and Isabel were lovely hosts to work with, especially when dealing with the logistics of planning the wedding from Germany.
