Only a small area and relatively new woodland, but quite quiet and off the beaten track. Small but adequate car park makes this a good starting point for a walk around the surrounding mosses. Looks popular with dog walkers and the paths are fairly decent. Keep an eye out for bird life.
It's slowly being improved, for the better, I mean it looks so much better already. Has got new ponds (waiting for the greenery around to establish so still looks a muddy mess) but the potential is amazing. They have little play structures and wooden insect/animal structures for kids to find/play on. Has a small car park 8-10 cars max. Great place for going for a walk, a bug hunting adventure or to walk your dog. Horseflies can be a menace on the warmer days though
