A picturesque beach on the Fife coast, Newburgh Seal Beach is a haven for nature lovers and families alike. The beach is known for its resident colony of common seals, which can often be spotted basking on the shore or playing in the shallow waters. The beach itself is a long stretch of sandy coastline, backed by dunes and grasslands, and offering stunning views of the Firth of Forth estuary. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities, including swimming, sunbathing, and beachcombing, as well as spotting seabirds and other wildlife. The beach is also a popular spot for walkers, with several trails and paths leading to nearby attractions, such as the Fife Coastal Path and the historic town of Newburgh.
What a beautiful place! A well-maintained beach with an excellent view of the seals. As you walk along the beach, they follow which is amazing. Dog-friendly - but ensure that all dogs are on leads as seals can be present on the beach.
Absolutely beautiful beach to visit. Views for miles and a very clean beach. Great view of the seals from the opposite side. Newburgh Inn is a great place to grab some food and is pet friendly.
If you want a peaceful truely Scottish experience then look no further. This is a beach close enough to Aberdeen to travel to from the city. It's renowned for its nature including local birds and a huge seal population. Such a special place to come. Has good access to a car park, local golf course and a pub. Perfect for walking dogs, having picnics, walking and watching nature.
Beautiful, remote beach with few facilities. Unfortunately the much advertised seals must have been on holiday today. Not one to be seen anywhere. Instead hundreds of seabirds had decided to move into the deserted real estate.
Beautiful scenery and the beach and sound were filled with seals and seabirds. One of my favorite spots!
Definitely will come again, my luck they were chilling out in the sun during this cold weather
Good for kids
