Iconic park, the site of an Agatha Christie stunt in 1926, with open fields & scenic hill views.
What an absolutely gorgeous nature reserve. Views are just amazing and whether you want to chill and have a picnic or go trekking you would love it the same. There are some facilities but note the cafe and toilets close early if you are planning to visit after 5. There is quite a lot of parking space as well.
What a beautiful part of the world! The car park is huge, there are facilities to eat and drink before and after a walk, and there are also toilets just at the car park. The views and the nature are spectacular, you can go wandering for hours. Whether you are on your own or with family/friends, this place is worth visiting.
Always great to visit newlands corner, with some of the best views over the Surrey hills! Parking is free once again. A wonderful place to go for a walk or sit and enjoy the views on the benches. You also have a nice takeaway cafe with a good mix of foods, chips, burgers, sandwiches, cakes and ice-creams. There are some outdoor benches with tables here too, so one can sit and eat. A recommended visit for sure. No photos from the visit but will add some previous photos over the years.
Lovely place for a walk and take in the views of Surrey Hills, dog friendly too. Amongst the daily visitors and dog walkers there's usually plenty of friendly bikers meet here too. As with most of Surrey, slow down and relax as there's average speed cameras on the approach from both sides. Nice cafe doing food and drink, plenty seating, decent amenities too, and there's no entrance or parking charges.
This is my favourite woodland so far. Easy to get to via Google maps and has a large free car park. There are facilities there such as food, toilets and a visitors centre. I am a tree lover and like to photograph woodlands and this place is a real gem. With over 100 mature, veteran and ancient yew trees it is very special. Great views too.
Always beautiful, mostly peaceful. Early mornings there are really tranquil. The cafe is great. Lots of seating. Very often quite a few interesting old bikes to be seen.
