Victorian-era park founded in 1868, featuring landmark buildings, a lake with fish & a playground.
Nice park for a walk around the lake. Lots of dog walkers use the park. Nice cafe and kiosk by the lake, friendly and welcoming, plus good food and drinks. Good open areas to play ball games and a playground for the kids. Be aware that at weekends and bank holidays it is busy with local residents using the Park. As it is well used by the public. No issues with parking, some weekends there are local cricket games held there on the open spaces.
Good place to go, And take the kids, Has cafe, and play area for the kids
Nice enough park but the amount of litter around the place is disgusting. If bins are full, is it really too much trouble to use another bin, or even take your rubbish and used nappies home rather than leaving them on the floor for someone else to clear up?! The park has a good play area for kids and a nice lake to walk around but wasted on people who don't care about it.
It's just off West Derby Road in Tuebrook. It has quite a large lake which I assume has a good selection of fish going by the number of people fishing here. It's completely open day and night. There's also a large children's playground. During the day it's quite quiet and has few joggers usually going around the perimeter. A lot of people use it for parking as there's plenty of space to park on the road network, especially if there's a market next door. There's also a cafe on site that always seems to be busy
Went for the John Collins Fair. Very quiet fair but excellent prices. PS2.50 a ride for all.
It's a great part, would recommend to families
