We are a pre-booking activity mainly for adults to partake in llama trekking and llama and alpaca experiences in the beautiful Nidderdale countryside. We have 5 different options available for bookings via phone or email. We are not an open farm and therefore cannot accept call ins or people just to visit. We carefully managed the number of customers on the farm at any single time, in order to encourage our highest level of animal welfare as well as excellent customer service. Call, Email or Enquire through our website to get booked in for a llama or alpaca experience.
Booked as a family of four as an end of holiday experience and had the most wonderful time; definitely the highlight of our holiday. Charlotte was really friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable and immediately put us all at ease. She expertly paired my two apprehensive children with Xavier and Archie and they soon relaxed and had a great time. Beautiful scenery, lovely, relaxed walk . Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this experience to anyone and already planning a return trip. Thank you
Absolutely amazing experience walking Lloyd and Miracle yesterday. It's clear to see everyone at Nidderdale Llamas care deeply about the alpacas and llamas and are keen to share their knowledge with you. Who knew llamas get gobsmacked when upset?! Lovely hike with very well behaved llamas through some picturesque scenery. Highly recommend and we will definitely be booking again.
A morning I will cherish. Booking is easy. The staff are extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable. I walked with Roger - one of the Llamas and we had a great time I did the scenic farm walk which was good for a first time getting to know the llamas. Next time I'd like to do longer. Brilliant
Booked a 1.5-mile farm walk , we were met by Charlotte, who was very knowledgeable and introduced us to the Llamas and Aplacas that would walk with us. After learning more about the animals , we partnered up with an Alpaca, and the walk commenced. It's a lovely gentle stroll around the farm fields, magnificent views, and back to the barn to finish. The Alpacas were very well behaved and friendly even if they did have the odd headstrong moment! At the end we were offered a drink and a piece of cake. There are toilets at the start and end of the walk as well as handwashing facilities. Throughly recomend this activity. We also stopped off at the Wellington pub in Darley for a late lunch after. We'd recomend that also.
Someone recommended to me to go to Brimham Rocks on my trip to Yorkshire. Upon Googling Brimham Rocks, I discovered Nidderdale Llamas and decided to book a "2 hour trek with llamas" experience. We had so much fun and delight with the llamas we forgot Brimham Rocks even existed and didn't go. 10/10 for the experience, 11/10 for Yogi the Llama. Special honours for John. And the two alpacas whose names I've forgotten.
What a fantastic experience. We were so well looked after, the team and Lamas are so engaging. Highly recommend the half day trek. We learned a lot too about these amazing animals. It is obvious they are so well looked after and loved.
