This picturesque beach is nestled in a secluded cove, surrounded by towering cliffs and lush green hills. The sandy shore is dotted with rock pools and tidal caves, perfect for exploration at low tide. The calm and clear turquoise water is ideal for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding. As the tide comes in, the beach becomes a tranquil haven, sheltered from the open sea. The scenery is breathtaking, with dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and scenic hiking trails waiting to be discovered.
We stayed here for a week, lovely small bay, secluded and mostly quiet. It's clean and dog friendly, although there are the occasional inconsiderate dog owners who don't pick up after there dogs (they should probably be classified as a sub species and not human) Beautiful views from the coastal walk There can be a rip tide on left of cove at high tide, but we paddleboarded, swam and foiled and didn't have an issue. Note the toilets in the carvpark are shut, which is terrible as you pay for parking, National Trust need to sort this out
Great sheltered beach. Easy access with slipway, no steps. Good for rock pools. Small car park and public toilets.
Dog friendly, and great rock pools and sea caves, as well as stunning cliff paths
Beautiful small beach with access to the coastal path. Pay and display car park with half an hour free car parking just off the beach.
A beautiful beach that we were able to explore as the tide was out. A beautiful sunny day, made it perfect. It has a pay and display car park, next to the pub, please note the toilets in the car park are not in use. The pub is popular and was busy serving teas coffees and snacks mid morning. The beach was accessed by crossing a single track road, into a sand dune and walking onto the beach. There is another way in, over a stream, which looked fun, and some people had taken their dogs to have a drink there. Great rock formations, are seen either side, and with the tide out it was a long channelled beach down to where the tide was way out to the point. Flat white sand made for a lovely walk, exploring rock pools and seeing birds perched up on the cliffs, it was beautiful. I have been made aware there can be a rip tide here at Nolton however, we did not swim. We sat and enjoyed the weather before purchasing a coffee at the pub and sitting drinking it with a lunch we had brought with us. Very enjoyable, easy to access beach. Lovely morning out.
Loved it was so lovely and peaceful, friendly locals and the dog loved it.
