A 13th-century fortified manor house surrounded by a picturesque park featuring walking trails, a lake, and a variety of wildlife, including deer and birds.
This is absolutely one of the hidden gems in the concrete jungle. Surrounded by houses and very busy main street but when you enter inside it's isolated from any city noises. Few benches and some seating areas allows you to cool down and relax in this small green spot.
It was actually quite cool, I loved seeing the Birds, Squirrels and Parrots! It's nice for a stroll to clear your mind but there should be an area with swings, slides and climbing frames so children can play on. 4/5!
My rating is based only on a rapid walk through the park as I was headed elsewhere, but a friend mentioned the spring flowers had come out and it was a warm day. The streets of the entrance and exit I used were absolutely covered in very sloppy and large heaps of dog mess. This isn't the fault of the park, but scummy dog owners that don't appear to be managing their dogs or their diet. I saw responsible dog owners in the park, albeit still a fair amount of mess dotted around unbagged, and bagged. The flowers were lovely, there are mature trees. It looks like with a little revamp, and the local authority somehow persuading the houses that back on to the park that have thrown their old broken garden furniture and toys and rubbish into the strip behind the park, it could look quite nice. There were several flooded areas that I couldn't walk on. Maybe nicer in the summer.
Norbury Hall Park is just a very quiet and beautiful park. Loads of squirrels and parrots there. And also a lot of remenant parts pf a beautiful past. No playgrounds but lots of natural beauty ! The park is well taken care of by volunteers nowadays.
Discovered this local gem on Easter Sunday during an egg hunt. Lovely place with lots of trees and greenery. Peaceful.
This park looks nice. However it is littered a lot despite the fact that there are bins. The kids found bottles and cups. Not a good place for young children.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
Dogs allowed
