A picturesque bay on the southeastern coast of England, known for its tranquil atmosphere and scenic views. The bay's gentle curve of pebbled beach is backed by low cliffs and a promenade lined with Victorian-era buildings, cafes, and restaurants. At low tide, the beach reveals a vast expanse of flat sand, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports. The bay's calm waters make it an ideal spot for sailing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. As the sun sets, the sky is painted with hues of pink, orange, and purple, creating a romantic ambiance that draws visitors to this charming coastal destination.
Wow. Never seen it like this before. Last year we were climbing over the breakwaters. This year underneath with those never previously encountered. Must have been one heck of a storm.
Excellent beach, not too busy even at peak times. Good amount of sand at low tide, perfect for 4 paws.
Nice little site with access to it's own beach that you can walk your dogs on. Fish and chip van on a Friday was just the job and breakfast van on Saturdays was a nice surprise.
Love Normans Bay.......... Just a shame that the houses from the kiosk heading west now have a boundry that means if the tide is in, unless you walk in the sea you won't be able to walk along there. I think people will ignore it and I hope they do!
An historical place is its strong point apart from that not really a place to visit for any other reason a poorly maintained lack lustre seaside town, could be so much more.
Beautiful walk along the sea front, restaurants nearby, Pevensey close.
Good for kids
Dogs allowed
