Normanby Hall is a 19th-century country house located in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, England. The hall is a Grade II listed building and features a mix of Gothic Revival and Tudor Revival architectural styles. It was built in 1847 for the Sheffield family and has remained in the family's ownership ever since. The hall is surrounded by 400 acres of parkland and gardens, which include a lake, woodland, and walking trails. The interior of the hall features ornate plasterwork, intricate wood carvings, and a grand staircase. It is open to the public for guided tours, allowing visitors to explore the opulent state rooms, bedrooms, and servants' quarters.
A beautiful place to be, to walk and talk, to take the mini train, dog walk, accessible for all. Snowy the pheasant is a delightful resident here, there are displays to see inside the hall, and a lovely shop and tea area. Highly recommend.
This is a great day out and a amazing green space for all the family. Also has Go ape tree climbing here which is great fun, the walks around the forest are well laid out and the surface is good to walk on. Plenty of conker trees when in season and the hall shows the history of the owners well with interactive boards to show more information. The cafe is well priced and offers a food selection of snacks foods.
Really pretty place to walk around It's dog friendly but they must be kept on leads, It has a nice little gift shop and cafe and if your lucky you will see the peacocks and deer xx
A lovely trip to Normanby Hall parkrun with friends. Would highly recommend. A lovely place for a walk with family, and has a great cafe too!
Fantastic grounds plenty to see.the cafe didn't offer much choice when we went not really impressed with self service tea n coffee.like the upgrade of the hall although found that there was too much modern art!! Where has the school room and nursery gone?? Bit disappointed with that.think there should still be written leaflets in each room to read because you had to wait for the other person to finish on the touch screen.
Beautiful Georgian Hall built in a regency style, the house has beautiful painting & objects. It was decorated on a traditional Victorain Christmas, along with upto date information touch screens giving you information about the rooms.
