Museum with rotating exhibits on regional history dating to the Bronze Age, plus a cafe & shop.
Great little museum with free entry, child friendly activities and a very well displayed history of Bangor. Very nice cafe with both inside and outside courtyard seating. Would highly recommend!
Great place to visit.. amazing welcoming staff and the entry is free of charge..The museum is situated in a lovely park where you can take an additional walk. Also the coffee place has a nice atmosphere and great coffee. Really worth seeing.
Interesting museum in part of Bangor Castle which focuses on local history from bronze age to modern day. There's a nice exhibition on vikings and there's a replica of a viking longhouse to walk through. There's plenty to keep children interested and the climate change exhibition shows that the museum is keeping up to date with the latest topics of interest. There's a lovely cafe with indoor and courtyard seating and a great little shop to visit. The cafe is open everyday. The museum is free to visit and open everyday except Monday. When you've finished at the museum, you can walk around the Castle Park and the Castle walled garden.
Lovely relaxed museum worth a visit but be careful driving there as the Castle Park road has more potholes and ditches than level tarmac. Get a coffee and a slice in the gorgeous bright cafe to ease your whiplash and pain after banging through the road.
Quaint museum free of charge, with a fantastic coffee shop too.
Visited here again to see another exhibition that was free entry. It is great to view local talent and I only wish we could see more of these events on display. Well done to the crafters involved and to the museum for a wonderful decision
